Around the world in 5 hours? At the end of November, Pioneer ESU took part in a Virtual Monopoly Challenge 2020, hosted by the Hertfordshire Scouts in place of their regular London event. Teams of Scouts, Explorers, Network and Leaders had 5 hours to visit 22 virtual locations, meet local scouts, complete challenges and earn points. There was a volcanic eruption in Iceland, music in Eswatini, dancing in Sao Paulo, a tea-party in Boston, and a lot of warm winter layers Ottowa (pictured). Success required teamwork, creativity and a healthy sense of fun. Pioneer finished a proud 15th out of 68 overall, making them the 4th placed Explorer team.
