About us

Nottinghamshire Scouts covers the county of Nottinghamshire in the United Kingdom, and is divided into nine Scout Districts: Ashfield, Bassetlaw, Beauvale, Central Notts, City of Nottingham, Mansfield, Newark, Rushcliffe, and South West Notts.

Each week, a huge number of adult volunteers give their free time to provide exciting programmes to thousands aged between 4 and 25. The volunteers carry out a variety of roles at County, District, Group, and Unit level — and their important contributions drive the success of Scouting in our county.

We support districts, groups, volunteers, and young people across the county by:

  • Organising a programme of adult training, so our volunteers can gain essential skills
  • Providing advice and support to anyone who needs it, through County Team and Activities Teams
  • Put together a programme of events that enhances the weekly programme
  • Actively work to develop Scouting in all parts of the County

Hello and welcome from Nottinghamshire Scouts!

Almost 10,000 young people and adults regularly enjoy the fantastic range of activities we provide. So whether you are into crafting, climbing, volunteering or simply having fun we know that our sections have something for you.

Our aim is to develop #skillsforlife and ensure that everyone has the opportunity to discover their full potential no matter what their background
