Perception is about how people see, hear and think about Scouts — and how we can help them see the bigger picture.
Through our Perception team, we want to help groups across Nottinghamshire gain advocacy, access resources, attract more people and challenge misconceptions that may prevent others from getting involved.
Whether it’s sharing your group’s achievements with local media, connecting with community partners, attracting new volunteers, or showing that Scouts is for everyone, telling our stories can make a real difference.
We want to break down barriers, open up opportunities and help more people discover what Scouts has to offer. Because there’s more to Scouts than people think!
Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing a series of updates exploring what Perception is, how it works, and the incredible opportunities it can unlock for groups, districts, and individuals across Nottinghamshire.
We’re also building a team of passionate people to help make it happen!
