On Thursday 24th September, Nottinghamshire Scouts were proudly represented at an incredibly exclusive event at Gilwell Park — the Squirrels 5th Birthday Celebration, alongside Scout Ambassador Warwick Davis OBE!
Out of around 26,000 Squirrels across the UK, just 40 young people were lucky enough to be invited — and two of them were from 1st Farnsfield Scout Group!
Our two Squirrels, accompanied by two amazing volunteers, travelled down to Gilwell Park for a packed day of adventure, including; bouldering, craft activities, rugby, parachute games, and of course, a campfire with birthday cake!
It was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate five brilliant years of Squirrels, meet other young people from across the country and experience everything that makes Scouting so special.
And most importantly… our two Squirrels represented Nottinghamshire Scouts brilliantly!
We couldn’t be prouder of them. What an incredible experience and a brilliant memory to take home!
Happy 5th Birthday, Squirrels!
